Edinburgh Captain's / Crystal Ships Decanter 290mm (Gift Boxed) | Royal Scot Crystal
The Edinburgh Crystal Ships Decanter, with its distinctive flat base, was originally designed for stability on board ships, ensuring no spillage even in rough seas. Each decanter is meticulously hand-cut with the iconic Edinburgh pattern, a timeless design of diamond and fan cuts that beautifully catches and refracts light. This intricate pattern creates a dazzling sparkle, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship. Often referred to as a Captain's or Admiral's decanter, its beautiful Edinburgh design is inspired by the rich traditions of Scotland's capital city.
Decanting serves two main purposes: for older wines and ports, it separates the liquid from any sediment that has collected over time, ensuring a smooth pour. For younger wines and spirits like brandy, the process of aerating the liquid "opens up" the flavors, allowing the full bouquet of aromas and complexities to be released. This traditionally elegant decanter is perfectly versatile for serving all varieties of wines and spirits, making it an ideal tool for elevating your drinking experience.
